Any South African entrepreneur or small business owner in need of funding can register a campaign. Likewise, anyone can contribute, match funds or invest through the platform.
Is Gofundbiz only for South Africans?
While the platform focuses on South African entrepreneurs, contributors and investors can be from anywhere in the world.
What is a Community Score?
Your Community Score is a trust and credibility token that increases each time you contribute to others. It shows that you're a giver, not just a receiver boosting your visibility and increasing your chances of receiving support from the community and corporate partners.
How do I get my business funded on Gofundbiz?
To get listed, you must register, contribute to at least 3 other campaigns (R20 each), and submit your business campaign pitch. This cycle fosters support and builds trust.
Why do I have to contribute before requesting funding?
This promotes Ubuntu culture and shows that you are committed to the community. Your contributions also build your Community Score, which makes others more likely to support you in return.
Can I get funded more than once?
Yes. As long as your campaign is active and impactful, and you maintain a strong Community Score, you can continue receiving funding.
What happens after my campaign is fully funded?
Once funded, the money is released to your registered account, and you're encouraged to share updates and success stories to keep your supporters informed.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. All our pay as per contribution costs are clearly stated before you start a campaign. However, Gofundbiz does not deduct anything from your campaign contributions if you are subscribed member. You receive 100% of what is raised.
Why should I get a membership plan?
Membership gives you access to premium services like one-on-one mentorship, business registration support, tax assistance, digital branding, website design and hosting and more all designed to grow your business sustainably.
Where do membership fees go?
Membership fees help us reinvest directly into other small businesses through grants, creating a cycle of empowerment and growth for the entire Gofundbiz community.
Do I need a membership to raise funds?
No. However, having a membership gives your campaign additional visibility and credibility, especially with investors and CSR partners.
How can corporates and NGOs participate?
They can match contributions to businesses, invest in campaigns, and access CSR analytics dashboards to measure their impact. Their contributions are ranked on the CSR Partners Leaderboard.
What is the CSR Partners Leaderboard?
It showcases the top contributing corporates and NGOs, highlighting their impact and encouraging healthy, visible participation in social change.
Can companies track how their funds are used?
Yes. Our Corporate Dashboards offer detailed analytics on contribution impact, businesses supported, and social ROI.
How can I invest in a business?
You can browse campaigns and choose to invest through equity, loans, or mentorship. If the deal is finalized, Gofundbiz takes a small brokerage fee of 6%.
What’s the difference between contributing and investing?
Contributing is a form of donation or support with no financial return expected. Investing means you may receive a return either through equity, revenue share or loan repayment.
Is there a minimum investment amount?
No fixed minimum, but campaigners often set their own preferred thresholds depending on their business needs.

The bidding platform is another product extention we created to add more value to small businesses through live online bidding with our trusted service providers to provide them with with discounted services. We realised most businesses don't have enough funds to bankroll their operations, hence our bidding platform gives that that headstart to operate with ease.
